The Investments Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the Investments leadership team. The Analyst will be providing research, analysis, underwriting to support acquisitions and dispositions. Responsibilities include underwriting investment properties, establishing monthly rental rate, property value and required capital investment; verifying, changing or creating underwriting assumptions on potential real estate investments; implementing and interpreting real estate market analysis; tracking economic and performance indicators for new acquisitions; completing market surveys and other market analysis; timely interpretation of data for recommendations; analyzing existing investments and providing reporting on investment activity; assisting with due diligence of investments; analyzing and preparing recommendations for improving investment and management process; monitoring and evaluating financial and operating results daily; maintaining listing rents based on internal and external market conditions; monitoring progress of all acquisition channels; participating on Regional Investment and Operations calls; completing projects assigned by SVP of Investments and other duties as assigned. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, Mathematics or related field; 2-5 years of financial modeling experience; MBA preferred; current driver’s license and automobile insurance; comprehension of federal fair housing laws; expert knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel; superior analytical abilities; excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; professional communication skills; outstanding interpersonal skills; self-starter with strong ownership; ability to use accounting software; ability to perform advanced mathematical and accounting functions; ability to perform cash forecasting, planning and management; ability to read and comprehend financial statements; strong team orientation; ability to facilitate presentations; strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to analyze and resolve problems; ability to multi-task; ability to set and meet goals and deadlines; demonstrated geographic knowledge of the local market.
