Job Title: Product Designer – 3 (Apparel Design, Active Wear)

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Apparel Design for Nike knitwear including concepts and capabilities.
- Deep knit expertise (seamless + flat knit) with thorough understanding of fabric characteristics, knit technology, materials, and constructions.
- Strong technical narrative + storytelling on how knit concepts and capabilities can elevate the experience and performance of products.
- Builds in-depth awareness and research of current knit innovation and technologies in the industry and material trends to keep on top of consumer needs.
- Supports and leverages digital tools for efficiency (illustrator + clo)
- Collaborates with FoP Design, Development, PCC, Product management and delivers solutions for projects and concepts.
Must Have:
- 5+ YOE in women’s apparel design
- Knit design background - has designed knit structures, engineered textile knowledge, and has knowledge of performance of materials
- Experience in women’s apparel, performance garments, and a clear sense of style
Nice to Have:
- Seamless product design in active wear
- Strong technical and storytelling skills in design
- Illustrator and CLO (or willing to learn CLO)
Team:
Working with Material and Apparel design team Org director and 5 other team members
Additional Notes:
Pat leave coverage for an apparel designer in Women's Knitwear. They’ll work on material choice and designing of seamless and flat knits.
MUST add portfolio - active wear or tight to body garments, women's performance garments
