Salary: $21p/h & 7 weeks PTO & Overtime at x1.5 pay

Shift: X2 roles for Monday-Friday, 5:00am-2:30pm

Must be available for weekly overtime

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, and surface grinders to begin production with minimal supervision. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Setups: Perform setups on CNC mills, lathes, and surface grinders to prepare for production runs.
  • Material Handling: Feed raw materials or parts into CNC and semi-automatic machinery, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Machine Monitoring: Monitor CNC and semi-automatic machinery throughout the production process, maintaining adherence to GMP requirements.
  • Quality Control: Use micrometers, test indicators, optical comparators, and gage blocks to conduct dimensional measurements and ensure product specifications are met.
  • Documentation: Complete processing records and related documentation accurately and legibly.
  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with department leads to troubleshoot equipment or processing issues as they arise.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery as directed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Process Improvement: Actively suggest innovative improvements to processes and equipment to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Flexibility: Fulfill additional duties as assigned by operations management to support overall production goals.
  • Teamwork: Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and peers, responding constructively to feedback and criticism.
  • Time Management: Manage your time effectively to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining is a plus.
  • Proven ability to set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and/or surface grinders.
  • Knowledge of GMP principles and practices preferred.
  • Experience with dimensional measurement tools such as micrometers and gage blocks.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Problem-solving skills and willingness to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
