About the Role
Original Events Co. is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Event Manager to lead the planning and execution of exceptional experiences. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in event planning, hospitality, or experiential marketing, excels at managing vendors and client relationships, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We’re looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who’s excited to contribute to a growing small business, take on a variety of responsibilities, and grow within the company
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Execution
- Lead all phases of event production, from concept through execution
- Build timelines, run-of-shows, and production plans
- Source, manage, and negotiate with vendors
- Coordinate logistics: venues, A/V, catering, staffing, and permits
- Manage registration, guest communications, and on-site flow
- Ensure timely, on-budget delivery that meets client expectations
- Lead client event debriefs and internal recaps
- Analyze outcomes and document learnings
Client Communication & Collaboration
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Lead planning meetings, site visits, and walkthroughs
- Present event plans and final reports
Creative & Branding
- Develop cohesive event branding and signage
- Create collateral using Canva or Adobe tools
- Ensure brand consistency across all touch points
Internal Marketing & Business Development
- Support OECo branding and marketing materials
- Assist with proposals, pitch decks, and client outreach
- Attend networking events and track business development activity
Qualifications
- 5+ years in event planning or experiential marketing
- Proven success managing events of varying size and complexity
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Strong design sensibility and branding knowledge
- Proficient in Google Workspace, Canva, and event layout tools
- Comfortable managing multiple projects independently
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Corporate, nonprofit, or large-scale event experience a plus
- Flexible schedule with some nights/weekends required
