Full-time and part-time opportunities

Responsible for monitoring safety of buildings, promoting healthy relationships, role modeling behaviors, working with families, and supporting staff team in daily activities of the Center. This position requires direct work with families, administrative duties and support of day-to-day operations of the program.

  • Welcome and introduce guests to the Family Services Branch
  • Enforce guidelines of Family Services Branch utilizing DHCD requirements
  • Maintain daily logs in a professional, concise, timely, and complete manner
  • Monitor doors and telephones in a professional manner
  • Ensure the safety of guests and home
  • Enforce rules and regulations
  • Sign in visitors and escort to their proper destination
  • Assist in helping guests adjust to Family Services daily living and programming opportunities
  • Role Model parenting skills as needed (i.e. meal planning and preparation, house cleaning, hygiene, etc.)
  • Assist in the transport of clients as needed to appointments, meetings, etc.
  • Foster a harmonious atmosphere within the shelter by helping guests identify and resolve social and any other concerns
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations
  • Report to Assistant Director and Director any health/safety issues and needed repairs
  • Be available to work holidays and cover other shifts as needed
  • Participate in staff meetings and trainings as requested by Assistant Director/Director
  • Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director/Director

Requirements

  • High school graduate.
  • Basic Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office programs
  • Experience working with at-risk youth, families in crisis, or work in a residential setting
  • Able to lift 30 pounds
  • Must be able to sit down, stand up, walk up and down stairs and bend over during the course of the day
  • Must be an insured and licensed driver able to travel for occasional home visits, transportation of clients, and provider meetings, as well as able to pass pre-placement drug screen
  • Must provide proof of drivers license, vehicle insurance and unattested driving record
  • Shoveling to accommodate needs
