FINANCE INTERN

The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the accounting team while gaining experience in all different aspects of Finance.

Primary responsibilities may include:

  • Analyze and reconcile transactional data and confirm proper posting in the GL.
  • Build and update reports in Power BI to aid management in data-driven decisions.
  • Assist with generating customer invoices and serving as a backup for the Invoicing team.
  • Review vendor payment activity to identify duplicates and request credits.
  • Provide analysis and support for the credit and collections function.
  • Support department leaders with gathering and loading updated documentation from customers and vendors, including sales tax exemption certificates and W-9s.
  • Assist with testing new system functionality and updates.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned.
  • Uphold Hydrite's Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers.
  • Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as required. Review changes/additions with your supervisor. Must be RCRA compliant.
  • Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned.
  • Support effective communication with all Hydrite departments where responsibilities overlap to ensure success of the branch team.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • This position reports to the Executive Director of Accounting & Tax.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good record keeping and organizational, and mathematical skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Must possess the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other job-related software.
