Job Summary: Grounds Cleaner
Chappells Cleaning Services, LLC is seeking seasonal grounds cleaners to help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of RFK Stadium and its surrounding areas in Washington, DC. This temporary position is ideal for individuals who take pride in keeping outdoor spaces clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities: Perform general cleaning of stadium grounds, including parking lots, walkways, seating areas, and public spaces
Collect and dispose of trash, recyclables, and debris before, during, and after events
Clean and restock restrooms as needed
Operate cleaning tools such as brooms, blowers, and pressure washers to maintain a tidy environment
Assist with post-event cleanup to restore the stadium and surrounding areas to a presentable condition
Follow all safety guidelines and company cleaning standards
Report any maintenance or safety hazards to supervisors
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Previous experience in groundskeeping, janitorial work, or outdoor maintenance is a plus but not required
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions
Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs for extended periods
Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Working Conditions: Work is primarily outdoors and involves exposure to weather conditions
Requires physical activity such as walking long distances, lifting, and bending
May require working around large crowds during events
Job Hazards and Physical Requirements: Exposure to weather elements, dust, and debris
Standing and walking for extended periods
Lifting and carrying trash bags or cleaning supplies up to 50 lbs
Operating cleaning tools and equipment safely
Schedule & Compensation: Flexible shifts (evening and weekend availability are required)
