We are looking for HVAC journeyman who has worked in heavy commercial markets to join our team to work with the most advanced heavy commercial and industrial cutting-edge equipment. Union Journeyman must be skilled craftsmen in their trade, and we prefer a minimum of five (5) years actual, practical working experience in the HVAC plumbing, pipefitting and/or mechanical equipment service industry. You may be required to pass a satisfactory examination as to your special skill. Massachusetts Refrigeration License is Required. Scope of work shall be limited to commercial HVACR service. The repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and absorption machines, open-drive screw chillers and ammonia systems. Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems. Required: Massachusetts Refrigeration License, High School Diploma or equivalent, Five (5) years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry, Ability to commit to a 30-Hour OSHA Certification which is to be done after hours and weekends is required upon hire, Computer savvy with good verbal and written communication skills. Preferred: Candidate who is already in the Local Union (Boston 537), EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification. This is a Bargaining Unit Position.
