About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President to join our Investment Banking team, with a dedicated focus on restructuring and special situations . This role requires deep financial acumen, strong client relationship skills, and a proven ability to manage complex transactions across distressed, turnaround, and event-driven scenarios. The ideal candidate will lead deal execution, contribute to business development, and mentor junior bankers in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the execution of complex restructuring and special situations transactions, including distressed M&A, liability management, capital raises, and in- and out-of-court restructurings.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, advisors, legal counsel, and other stakeholders involved in distressed and event-driven transactions.
Oversee and guide the creation of financial models, valuation analyses, capital structure reviews, and strategic alternatives assessments.
Conduct due diligence and coordinate across internal and external teams, including legal, tax, and accounting advisors.
Drive the preparation and presentation of client materials, including pitch books, management presentations, and board materials.
Identify new business opportunities and support the origination of restructuring and special situations mandates.
Mentor and train analysts and associates, providing feedback and career development support.
6-10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, restructuring advisory, private credit, or distressed investing.
Demonstrated transaction experience in financial restructuring and special situations.
Strong understanding of capital structures, bankruptcy processes (Chapter 11 and out-of-court), and credit documentation.
Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, including LBO, DCF, and capital structure modeling.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses (or willingness to obtain).
Prior experience at a top-tier restructuring advisory firm, investment bank, or credit-focused investment firm.
Exposure to both debtor- and creditor-side advisory work.
Familiarity with bankruptcy code, distressed securities, and stakeholder negotiation dynamics.
