Primary Responsibilities:
- Producing construction documents that conform to applicable building codes and zoning regulations.
- Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining accuracy of all technical documentation throughout the design process.
- Preparing schematic lighting layouts and overseeing the development of lighting construction documents and administration.
- Leading field survey teams and coordinating development and documentation of as-built conditions.
- Collaborating with staff and providing mentorship to create a positive atmosphere for learning and professional growth.
- Coordinating with subconsultants and internal project teams to execute cohesive, fully integrated drawing sets.
- Managing architectural submissions to building departments, including plan check revisions, and handling coordination with expeditors and accounting.
- Following the defined scope and pricing plan throughout documentation and detailing phases.
- Maintaining attention to project schedules, design fees, budgets, and reimbursable costs to support successful project delivery.
- Supporting construction administration efforts, including review of RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings as needed.
- Ensuring drawing consistency and quality by applying Wolcott’s CAD/Revit standards and documentation practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5–10+ years of experience in architecture or interior architecture, ideally within commercial or workplace environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit required; familiarity with Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office a plus.
- Strong knowledge of IBC, CBC, ADA, Title 24, and relevant jurisdictional review processes.
- Experience coordinating with MEP, structural, lighting, and other consultants.
- Familiarity with BOMA standards and general understanding of construction costs and scheduling.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- NCIDQ, LEED AP, or similar certifications are a plus but not required.
