Position Overview:
We are seeking a Journeyman Lineman to handle the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical power lines and related equipment. This role involves working with high-voltage systems, using specialized tools and vehicles such as bucket and line trucks, and ensuring safe and reliable service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical and communication systems
- Perform splicing, testing, bonding, and termination of electrical cables
- Set poles, anchors, transformers, streetlights, and other components
- Inspect and troubleshoot power lines and equipment
- Operate electrical testing tools and ensure safe practices near energized systems
- Provide training to apprentices and ground crew
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognized lineman apprenticeship program
- Valid California Electrical Journeyman License and CDL
