Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Draft and proofread pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
- Manage client files, both physical and digital (MyCase experience is a plus)
- E-file court documents with Florida courts
- Maintain attorney calendars, deadlines, and hearing dates
- Assist with billing, time entry, and expense tracking
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Prepare trial binders and organize exhibits
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant (family law preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Florida family law procedures and court filings
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with legal software like Clio, MyCase, or similar
