• Weekend call: 1 Friday 5pm - Monday 7am per month + 1 night call per week
• Weekend rounding: 4 - 5 floor patients, 3 - 4 NICU patients
• Home call only with minimal in-person callbacks
• Hospital support staff includes pediatric hospitalist group
• Limited case complexity -- no appendectomies at night, no ECMO, no trauma
• Transfer protocols in place for complex cases
• Vacation coverage opportunities available
• Backup support available from surgical team
• Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
