Privacy Implementation Project Manager

Location: Cupertino, CA (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 months (potential to extend)

Compensation: $60/Hour

Job Overview

Sage Group's client, a leading technology company specializing in consumer electronics, software, and services, is seeking a Privacy Implementation Project Manager to assist the Legal Operations team. The role will focus on reviewing and refining application-level privacy, information security, and third-party risk management controls across a range of applications used by Legal professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to review and refine privacy, information security, and third-party risk management controls across multiple applications within the Legal Operations ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to assess data flows, application architecture, and privacy control needs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of privacy requirements.
  • Create and manage remediation plans to address privacy and security gaps within the application landscape, ensuring timely execution and regular progress updates.
  • Develop tracking mechanisms to measure and report on the progress of privacy control implementations, risk mitigation efforts, and overall compliance.
  • Ensure all privacy-related changes and assessments are properly documented to maintain audit readiness and compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Information Management, Business, Law, or Computer Science.
  • 5+ years leading cross-functional projects in privacy, data protection, or regulatory compliance within complex or enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of privacy management, privacy controls, and organizational capabilities. IAPP CIPM certification is a plus.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and lead interviews/discovery sessions with business and technology stakeholders to assess data flows and technical characteristics of applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in measuring, tracking, and reporting on remediation progress across a diverse application portfolio.
  • Ability to translate privacy and compliance requirements into actionable project plans and technical deliverables.
  • Experience working with legal, IT, security, and business teams to align project goals with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Skilled in reporting project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and governance teams using structured reporting and performance metrics.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
