Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Location: Oakland, California
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $160,000 – $180,000/year
Job Summary:
We are hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to deliver outpatient psychiatric care in a well-supported clinical setting. The role centers on performing comprehensive psychiatric assessments, managing medications, and contributing to personalized treatment plans. You’ll work closely with a care team to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and follow-up psychiatric evaluations
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
- Collaborate with care teams and coordinate referrals as needed
- Ensure accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in California
- PMHNP-BC certification
- DEA license for prescribing medications
- Prior outpatient psychiatric experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills
