K&S Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper with hands-on experience in retail operations, general management, and QuickBooks for a premium furniture store in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the rhythm of retail, and can confidently manage financial records, reporting, and operational support. A key part of this role is providing the owner with clear, consistent overviews of financial health and operational performance.

This position starts at 4 hours, twice a week —perfect for someone seeking flexibility with room to grow. For the right candidate, this is a  great opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time role with advancement potential .

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks (Online)
• Process accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
• Generate weekly and monthly financial reports with actionable insights
• Track inventory, vendor payments, and POS system integration
• Provide the owner with regular financial overviews, cash flow updates, and budget variance reports
• Support general management with operational reporting and cost analysis
• Collaborate with retail team to ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations
• Prepare documentation for tax filings and audits
• Identify process improvements and support compliance initiatives

Qualifications:

• Proven bookkeeping experience (3+ years preferred), ideally in a retail setting
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online)
• Strong understanding of general management principles and retail workflows
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
• Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and deadlines
• Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
