Recovery Coach - Remote with Community Engagement Requirements

At Pathfinder Recovery, we understand the power of peer support and the profound impact it has on individuals in recovery. We are seeking a Recovery Coach / Peer Support Specialist who is NCPRSS or CCAR Certified to join our innovative team in a remote role with periodic community engagement. This is a dynamic position designed for those passionate about supporting individuals in their journey of recovery, leveraging their personal experience and professional skills in a flexible and tech-forward environment.

As a Recovery Coach / Peer Support Specialist at Pathfinder Recovery, you will play an essential role in guiding individuals through their recovery process. Using technology to enhance care delivery, you will provide motivational support, empowerment, and direction to individuals in a virtual setting, ensuring they have the tools, support, and confidence they need to build a lasting recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide peer support and recovery coaching to clients in a virtual environment, offering guidance, encouragement, and motivation through phone, video calls, and other digital communication channels.
  • Assist clients in developing and maintaining personal recovery goals, empowering them to create and implement action plans to overcome obstacles and achieve success.
  • Offer emotional support, provide a safe space for individuals to share their challenges, and actively listen to their concerns.
  • Facilitate peer support groups remotely, fostering community and connection among individuals in recovery.
  • Help clients navigate recovery systems, including access to treatment programs, healthcare providers, community resources, and recovery-oriented support networks.
  • Monitor and track progress in recovery, documenting all interactions and ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Support clients with practical challenges, such as developing life skills, maintaining employment, managing finances, and improving social support systems.
  • Engage with the local community periodically, attending in-person events and outreach activities in your respective state (CT, MA, VT, or NH), as well as participating in local recovery networks.
  • Utilize innovative technologies to provide support, including AI-powered medical records and telehealth platforms, ensuring efficient communication and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team, including therapists, counselors, and supervisors, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to recovery.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Certified Recovery Coach / Peer Support Specialist (NCPRSS / CCAR) – certification is required.
  • Personal experience in recovery and a deep understanding of the challenges clients face, combined with the ability to provide non-judgmental support.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients remotely.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using digital platforms, including telehealth platforms, AI-driven systems, and electronic medical records.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule while maintaining consistency in client support and engagement.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a client-centered approach with a passion for empowering individuals to take ownership of their recovery journey.
  • Periodic in-person community engagement within your state (CT, MA, VT, or NH) for local outreach activities, support groups, and events.

Why Join Pathfinder Recovery:

  • Remote work with flexibility to manage your own schedule.
  • Competitive pay of $22 to $30 per hour.
  • Access to emerging technologies in behavioral health, including AI-powered systems and telehealth platforms that make it easier to track progress and engage with clients effectively.
  • NCPRSS / CCAR certification required, offering the opportunity to work alongside a team that values your expertise and personal experience.
  • Opportunity to be part of an innovative, tech-forward company that is reshaping recovery care.
  • A supportive, inclusive team culture with opportunities for professional growth and development.

At Pathfinder Recovery, we believe that recovery is a journey best traveled with support, connection, and empowerment. If you are passionate about helping others overcome obstacles and thrive in their recovery, and are excited about working in a remote, technology-driven environment, we’d love to hear from you.

How to Apply:
