About the Role
The Company is seeking a Regional Vice President for Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) to lead the execution of its strategic and programmatic goals in the region. The successful candidate will be the senior-most leader, responsible for all aspects of the company's mission in SSA, including strategy, program delivery, partnership development, resource mobilization, and organizational culture. This role demands a dynamic leader with a minimum of 10 years' global program leadership experience, preferably in healthcare, humanitarian, or development sectors, and at least 15 years' of executive-level leadership. The RVP will be the key decision-maker for the region, representing the company with host country governments, NGOs, and multilateral partners, and ensuring that regional efforts align with global priorities. Applicants must have a Master's degree in a relevant field, with a postgraduate or doctoral degree strongly preferred, and a deep contextual understanding of SSA's geopolitical, cultural, and operational landscapes. The role requires a candidate with exceptional communication skills, the ability to manage diverse, multicultural teams, and a proven track record in strategic planning and operational execution. The RVP will also be responsible for development and fundraising, finance, operations, and governance, and must demonstrate strong financial acumen and a commitment to the company's values. The position is based in the SSA region, with a requirement for frequent international travel, and the candidate must be fluent in English, with proficiency in a language relevant to the SSA region being a strong asset.
