Job description: The primary responsibility of the Route Delivery Driver is pickup and deliver large components, repaired parts, and to exchange inventory items to current customers. Driver must have an understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, ability to secure loads safely and may be required to load and unload using forklifts at facilities. This position may have overnight stays away from home. When the Route Delivery Driver is not traveling, the position will work in the warehouse.

Formal Requirements and Certifications of Job –

Required

• 21 years or older
• Safety Oriented
• Must possess a Class “A” commercial driver’s license and be medically qualified, with air brake or any other endorsements required to operate any L&H Industrial delivery vehicles
• Minimum of one-year flatbed hauling experience
• Must hold and maintain a clean driving record
• Good organizational and vehicle maintenance management methods
• Knowledge and a clear understanding for the necessary documentation and other compliance requirements for federal and state programs such as DOT and OSHA
• Forklift experience

Preferred

• OSHA safety training
• MSHA certification
• Knowledge of warehousing

Special Demands

• Potential exposure to hazardous weather and road conditions
• Ability to lift 70 lbs
