Position Overview:

S5 Analytics is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer. This role involves collaborating with customers and team members to support all stages of the software development lifecycle, including needs analysis, CONOPS development, sprint planning, integration testing, and technical documentation. Responsibilities also include system design, implementation, integration, verification, and validation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, customer-focused, and a strong team player with the flexibility to find creative solutions, quickly learn new technologies, and respond effectively to evolving customer needs.

Required Skills:

• Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
• Engineer and administer systems solutions, including software upgrades, patches, and scripting for task automation.
• Improve system stability, security, scalability, and efficiency through collaboration and input on process enhancements.
• Develop and support automation and deployment strategies, familiar with UI design practices and Agile tools like Jira.
• Experienced in configuration management (e.g., Git), open architectures, geospatial data, and Linux (RedHat) environments.
• Skilled in virtualization (VMWare), scripting (Shell, Perl, Python), and remote systems management via command line.
• Strong communicator with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Proven problem solver with strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and in team settings.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficient in requirements identification, analysis, documentation, and tracking
• Proficient analyzing customer needs, and identifying user stories and technical tasks to achieve various Agile objectives and iterative development schedules
• Proficient in statistical analysis methods and tools
• Experience with system integration and test on a UNIX or Linux platform
