Job Description

Job Responsibilities: Review and analyze electrical and other discipline drawings, specifications, and submittals. 3D modeling of pathway and circuiting layout consistent with the electrical design, based on guidance from the project VDC lead and field installation leads. Adjust equipment layout according to engineering design and directives from the project VDC lead. Participate in design coordination processes and resolve conflicts. Produce coordination and shop drawings, installation details, and sketches to support field installation tasks. Maintain knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and related standards. Apply knowledge of field installation best practices and critical design software including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and MS Office. Experience: Field experience with electrical installations is highly desirable. Design experience with the listed software tools is essential. General Requirements: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. High school diploma or GED required, with 10-12 years of relevant experience. Certifications and Licenses: Completion of electrical apprenticeship and possession of journeyman or master electrician status are highly preferred. Abilities: Ability to work with extended computer screen exposure and sit for long periods. Physical ability to reach, manipulate objects, and communicate effectively. Strong reading and comprehension skills. Ability to apply rules to solve specific problems and understand spoken information.
