Senior Water Treatment Plant Operator
Title: Senior Water Treatment Plant Operator
Location: Lakewood, CO
Ideal Skills: People management, water treatment, experience automating in a water treatment facility + certification
Salary: $85k - $120k+ depending on experience
Position Overview The Senior Water Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of the water treatment facility. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, optimizes water treatment processes, and leads a team of operators to maintain high-quality water supply for the community.
Key Responsibilities - Monitor and control water treatment processes to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Supervise and train junior operators in the operation and maintenance of water treatment equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of plant facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and operational issues.
- Prepare and maintain operational records, reports, and documentation as required by regulatory agencies.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of water treatment operations.
- Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot operational problems in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water treatment operations
- Experience automating a water treatment facility
- Valid Colorado Water Works Operator Certification or ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
- Strong understanding of water treatment processes and technologies.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
