Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Sheet Metal Duct Mechanics for commercial and/or industrial HVAC projects. Ideal candidates should be reliable, safety-focused, and able to install and fabricate ductwork with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Install, fabricate, and hang sheet metal ductwork (rectangular, spiral, and flex)
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
Measure and mark sheet metal according to specifications
Cut, bend, and assemble ducts using hand and power tools
Ensure all work meets safety codes and company standards
Collaborate with other trades and foremen on-site
Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a duct mechanic (not just a helper)
Own required tools for fabrication and duct installation and PPE
Ability to read mechanical blueprints
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC duct systems
Reliable transportation to and from job sites
Must pass pre-employment drug screen (if applicable)
Preferred:
OSHA 10 or 30 certification
Experience leading a small crew (for higher-level mechanics)
