Studying blueprints, diagrams and specification sheets to gain a thorough understanding of the work requiredChoosing the right sheet metals to use for a project based on the plan or blueprintsPrecisely measuring sheet metal and marking it at the proper places to comply with required specificationsUsing cutting tools to prepare sheet metal for use in subsequent steps in manufacturing or as-is installationShaping, drilling and bending sheet metal to fabricate parts or componentsInstalling metal sheets on construction sitesWelding, bolting, brazing and soldering sheet metal to join pieces together
