Job Description
A full-time Special Education Teacher is needed to support an elementary school caseload focused on serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This onsite position offers a contract for the full school year and is located near Menahga, MN. The role requires a dedicated educator with expertise in special education practices tailored to the ASD population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to elementary students with ASD
- Develop and implement IEPs aligned with state standards and student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for compliance and communication
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and academic growth
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota State Teaching Certification in Special Education with ASD endorsement
- Experience working with elementary students on the autism spectrum
- Strong understanding of evidence-based strategies for ASD instruction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to onsite, full-time work for the duration of the school year contract
