This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher position in an elementary school setting, focusing on moderate to severe needs including autism. The assignment is a contract position for the current school year (CSY) and is located in Racine, Wisconsin.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Wisconsin Special Education License
- Experience working with moderate to severe disabilities and autism
- Ability to design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and staff
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to students with moderate to severe educational needs and autism
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs aligned with state standards and student goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to promote student success
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
