A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 20252026 school year in Williamsburg, VA. This contract position offers a rewarding role working with elementary students in a collaborative classroom setting.

The role involves supporting 1215 students with diverse learning needs, including Learning Disabilities, Autism, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and Health Complications. You will co-teach alongside general education teachers to provide individualized instruction and foster an inclusive learning environment that addresses each students unique goals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing tailored lesson plans for students with special needs
• Collaborating with teaching staff and specialists to support student success
• Managing classroom behavior and adapting strategies to meet students varying needs
• Monitoring and documenting student progress
• Communicating regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates and support

Qualifications and requirements:

• Valid Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education
• Experience working with elementary-aged children with disabilities
• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively in co-teaching models
• Patience, flexibility, and commitment to student-centered education

This is a W-2 position with full benefits, including health insurance and paid time off. The contract is set to begin August 13, 2025, and concludes June 8, 2026.
