A full-time Special Education Teacher position is open for the upcoming school year at a K-12 school in the Albany, Oregon area. Multiple positions are available, providing opportunities to serve diverse student needs across several grade levels and specialized settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students with special needs, including those in autism and resource support settings.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies to meet evolving needs.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Available Caseloads:
- 3rd to 5th grade autism classroom focused on social learning.
- Middle school resource room supporting varied special education needs.
- Elementary resource position serving students requiring additional academic support.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification with endorsement or specialization in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders and other special needs preferred.
- Ability to design and deliver differentiated instruction aligned with IEP goals.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff and families.
Work Schedule and Duration:
- Full-time assignment (37.5 hours per week).
