Position Overview

VerbaCare is hiring Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support school-based speech therapy programs across Contra Costa County and the East Bay Area . We welcome new graduate SLPAs and experienced assistants who are passionate about helping K-12 students improve their speech, language, fluency , and social communication skills , under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs).

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed SLPs in delivering speech-language therapy services
• Provide direct support to students with communication disorders (articulation, language, fluency, pragmatics)
• Prepare therapy materials, assist with data collection, and monitor student progress
• Follow therapy plans and protocols as directed by supervising SLPs
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education teams
• Maintain confidential student records per HIPAA compliance

📌 Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in Speech Language Pathology Assistance or related field
• Valid California SLPA license (or eligibility to obtain one)
• New graduate SLPAs encouraged to apply – clinical supervision provided
• Familiarity with school-based therapy & IEPs preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
