A K-12 educational facility in Shelton, WA is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support student speech and communication development throughout the academic school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work directly with students under the supervision of certified speech-language pathologists in a dynamic school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized speech and language therapy plans for students.
• Support students during therapy sessions to enhance communication skills.
• Conduct screenings, gather data, and document student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to facilitate student success.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant educational and therapeutic guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
• Experience working within a K-12 educational environment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow detailed plans and work effectively under supervision.
• Commitment to student development and ability to work compassionately with children.
