Job Description

This position involves providing Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) support within a K-12 school setting. The role is based in Helotes, Texas, and offers a contract assignment for the full school year. Responsibilities include assisting speech-language pathologists in delivering therapeutic services to students, documenting progress, and collaborating with educational staff to support individualized student needs.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist speech-language pathologists with therapy sessions for students across K-12 grade levels
• Gather and document relevant student information and therapy details accurately
• Coordinate and communicate regularly with the director and other educational team members
• Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) under supervision
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards

Desired qualifications:

• Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
• Experience working in a school environment preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to follow clinical instructions and work collaboratively in a team
• Familiarity with K-12 educational settings and IEP processes is a plus
