An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide supportive services within a K-12 educational setting. This contract position spans the next school year and is based in Kerrville, TX. The role centers on assisting the speech-language pathologist in delivering effective communication interventions to students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized speech-language therapy plans under the supervision of the speech-language pathologist.
- Gather and document relevant student data to monitor progress and support treatment adjustments.
- Collaborate closely with the speech-language pathologist, educators, and school administration to coordinate services and ensure consistency in communication goals.
- Engage with the school's director to align on program objectives and address any operational needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience working within a K-12 school environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to accurately record and report student progress data.
