Job Description
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to provide services for the 2025-2026 school year and summer in a K-12 school setting located in Roscoe, IL. This position offers approximately 40 hours per week of contract work, focusing on supporting students across the K-12 age range.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree (M.S. / M.A.) in Communication Disorders for SLPs; Bachelors degree acceptable for SLPA
- Illinois license or license-eligible
- Illinois PEL Certification required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) for SLPs
- Experience in school-based or pediatric-focused speech-language pathology preferred
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assess communication skills of students
- Work with school-aged children who have various disabilities and communication disorders
- Collaborate with special education professionals to develop individualized treatment plans
- Complete documentation, report writing, and participate in relevant meetings
Compensation:
- Pay range for SLP-CCC: $42 - $50+ per hour
- Pay range for SLPA: $30 - $35+ per hour
- Compensation will be negotiated based on years of experience, particularly in school or pediatric settings
