POSITION DESCRIPTION:The Clinical Quality Specialist reports directly to the Director of Clinical Quality Improvement (DCQI). The scope of duties is shared between other Quality personnel as determined by the Quality Manager and DCQI. This position's primary responsibility is to facilitate and coordinate the Medical Staff Quality Review Program, while performing clinical quality of care reviews for patients seen at JFK Memorial Hospital. Additional responsibilities will include hospital wide clinical performance improvement project management, conduct intense analysis when indicated and quality and regulatory support as determined by the DCQI. The Clinical Quality Specialist will participate in hospital and medical staff committee's as assigned and will must demonstrate personal and professional responsibility, participates in creating an atmosphere of mutual trust, acceptance, recognition and respect, and assumes responsibility for own professional development.
