Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience, ARRT RT(M), and recent proficiency in mammography procedures.
Responsibilities
- Work in a breast health clinic setting within the Breast Health Services unit
- Patient population includes all age groups requiring screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, including biopsies
- Uses EPIC for documentation and Change Healthcare PACS for imaging
- Digital and Tomosynthesis mammography performed, with experience on Hologic Selenia Dimensions preferred
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
- Potential to float to the Rockwood Primary Care Clinic approximately 9 miles from the main site
- Weekend rotation may include up to 2 Saturdays per month, rotated among mammography techs
- No call requirement
- Responsibilities include performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, participating in biopsies and procedures, documenting patient history, and delivering high-quality patient care
- Direct patient interaction, including data entry and adapting processes based on patient needs
- You will be part of a collaborative team rotating weekend duties with other technologists
- Scrub color is flexible and any color may be worn
- First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent mammography experience required
- Current ARRT RT(M) and BLS certifications required
- Washington State license required; license required if applicable
- Documentation of initial 40 hours of mammography training or attestation if grandfathered
- Proficiency in mammography positioning, setting technical factors, and equipment operation
- Ability to adapt care for patients of all ages undergoing radiology exams
- Preferred experience in mammography biopsies and specialized procedures
- Experience with EPIC, Change Healthcare PACS, and digital/tomosynthesis mammography equipment
