⏰ Shift: Days, 3x12s (36 hours/week, guaranteed; open availability required per scheduling policy)

💰 Pay Package

• Total Hourly Pay Rate: $38.28/hr
  • Taxable W2: $13.00/hr
  • Non-Taxable Stipend: $25.28/hr
• Weekly Gross: $1,378/week
  • Taxable W2: $468/week
  • Non-Taxable Stipend: $910/week
• OT Rate (Taxable): $19.50/hr

📝 Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care and supports the medical team in delivering healthcare services within a correctional facility. Duties include:

• Applying appropriate nursing skills in the care and treatment of inmates/residents.
• Assisting physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Operating pill call, sick call, and documenting medication administration.
• Performing technical procedures within the scope of licensure.
• Monitoring patient conditions, responding to emergencies, and maintaining medical documentation.
• Maintaining security, sanitation, and compliance with CoreCivic and state/federal regulations.

✅ Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an active LPN license in New Mexico (or compact license).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid Social Security card (facility clearance requirement).

 

Additional Information: 36 hours guaranteed per week; must have open availability per CoreCivic scheduling policy. U.S. Citizenship and Social Security card required for facility clearance. Auto offer – no interview required. Orientation typically on Tuesdays. Facility type: Correctional – security clearance required. Extension possible upon successful completion of contract.
